Germany is expecting extreme hail and storms, and the storm will spread through the Czech Republic

The cold front will gradually bring rain and thunderstorms throughout the Czech Republic.

“These can occasionally be accompanied by heavier precipitation (around 20 mm) and intensification of the wind to a speed of around 70 km / h, especially in the South Bohemian Region, the Vysočina Region and Eastern Bohemia,” Dagmar Honsová from Meteopress told Novinka.

Due to the saturation of the soil with water from previous rains, new precipitation may again raise the levels of smaller streams. However, there is currently no warning in force for the Czech Republic.

Thunderstorms will bring cooling. “On Wednesday, temperatures peak at around 30 degrees Celsius, tomorrow in the west of the territory will be a maximum of about 20 degrees,” added Hons.

Significantly stronger storms are expected in Germany, where the already undulating cold front began to affect the weather after Wednesday at 2 p.m.

Meteorologists warn against heavy hail, when extremely large hail should fall, and a storm will also appear. The wind can reach speeds of up to 100 km / h in gusts, warns the German Meteorological Service.

The most affected are expected to be Brandenburg and the Eifel region, a highland in the federal states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate, which extends as far as Belgium.

In the south, the sharpest storms will take place on Thursday night in the Alps and will gradually move to the southeast. The weather should calm down on Friday, but it will be very changeable.
