The German chemical giant BASF announced in a statement today, Thursday, that it will stop the production of car paint in Argentina, and transfer it to a factory in Brazil during the second half of 2021.
The Bloomberg News Agency quoted BASF’s statement that the conversion of production operations will affect about 60 workers in Argentina.
The company said it will maintain part of its administrative presence and another related to sales in Argentina.
The company cited a sustainability analysis and competency program as two reasons for ending production in Argentina.
