Four TV channels stopped broadcasting for a day, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Garibashvili.

Georgian opposition TV channels Mtavari, TV Pirveli, Formula and Kavkasia on Wednesday, July 14, stopped broadcasting for a day, reports Echo of the Caucasus.

This decision was taken in protest demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and punishment of all who attacked peaceful demonstrators and journalists in Tbilisi on July 5 and 6.

The names and surnames of 53 journalists, cameramen and photographers who were injured in the attack by LGBT opponents are written on the TV screens on a black background.

The day before, during funeral of the operator Lekso Lashkarava, beaten by radicals on July 5, regional TV companies also stopped broadcasting for 10 minutes.

Himself Prime Minister of Georgia refused to resign, declaring the failure of the “conspiracy against the state.”
