El-Gouna player Mohamed Nagy, “Gedo” revealed the scenes of the case that had occupied public opinion for 10 years because of the Zamalek club’s announcement that it had received one million pounds in an unfinished contract provider.
In statements to “Ontime Stadium”, Jeddou said: “Hossam Hassan was the coach of the Zamalek club at the time. I have a good relationship with Hossam and I love him on a personal level. When he offered me to play for Zamalek, I agreed for him.”
Gedo added: “The agreement with Zamalek was to sign a contract as always happens and then negotiate with the federation, but Zamalek violated the agreement and began leaking out my signature to Zamalek after my travel with the national team to Angola to participate in the African Nations Cup.”
The grandfather led Egypt to win the 2010 African Nations Cup after he scored 5 goals in the competition, including the goal of the final match against the Ghana national team, to become the talk of everyone in Egypt and Africa.
The former Al-Ahly striker added: “Zamalek officially announced my signature without entering into any negotiations with the Alexandrian Federation, which angered me. My contract with the union extended for another season, and I did not want to export problems to the club, which I spent 5 years between its walls.”
And Jedo added: “At the same time, Al-Ahly entered through the legal door, negotiated the federation, paid 7 million pounds, and obtained my dispensation from the Egyptian Football Association, to submit a complaint to Zamalek.”
And Gedo went on: “Zamalek claimed that I received an amount of one million pounds, the contract provider. This was not true. I did not get any dime from Zamalek. I just signed the contract and traveled with the national team.”
The star of El Gouna continued: “The Football Association approved a fine of one million 200 thousand pounds against me for signing Zamalek at an illegal time, and the one million pounds that Zamalek claimed to have obtained.”
On his reaction, Gedo said: “I went to the Public Prosecutor’s office immediately, and filed a complaint against Zamalek with dishonesty, because they added the data after I signed the contract.”
Gedo ended: “Before a decision was issued, Zamalek officials rushed to my lawyer, and they sent him an amount of 2.2 million pounds in a single bag in order to waive the report.”
