Gas price adds another 10 percent

The price of natural gas rose 10 percent in a few hours on Tuesday, only to fall back slightly later in the day.

But on Wednesday, the price just continued to rise. The Dutch TTF-Future, a reference price for natural gas, added 10 percent on Wednesday to the record price of 86.5 euros MWh, for delivery in October.

Consumers with variable contracts are at risk of having this calculated in their invoice.
