Garmin Lily 2: Leaked Image Reveals Thinner Design and CES 2024 Unveiling

The first image of the Garmin Lily 2 has leaked online, a smarter smartwatch with a thinner design and a narrower band than most of Garmin’s top watches. It’s unclear when exactly we’ll get to see the watch, but it’s likely to be unveiled at CES 2024which begins on January 9.

The Garmin Lily 2 was accidentally revealed on Garmin’s own Japanese support page. It was discovered by Notebookcheck and can also be found on Wayback Machine.

The Garmin Lily 2 appears to follow in its predecessor’s footsteps by being a style-focused watch with a slimmer band, echoing the look of classic ladies’ watches. This differs from the recent Garmin Venu 3 and Vivoactive 5, which offer similar training and lifestyle features but with slightly bulkier designs that are more reminiscent of traditional fitness watches. The leaked image shows off its Cream Gold and Coconut finishes, although we have no doubt that this is just one of several color options.

Given the timing of the leak and the fact that promotional images are readily available, we expect the Garmin Lily 2 to be unveiled soon. It will likely debut at CES 2024, the global technology conference in Las Vegas starting on January 9, as Garmin will be exhibiting there.

The original Garmin Lily, which debuted three years ago, was a smartwatch aimed at women and surprisingly light on features. It lacked built-in GPS, which limited its use for runners and cyclists, although it had other fitness tracking features along with wellness such as menstrual tracking. There are currently no rumored specs or feature lists for the next iteration of the watch, but we won’t have to wait long to find out what Garmin has put together.

The original Lily needs improvement

In our original Garmin Lily review, we thought the watch lacked some features. Built-in GPS was missing from the watch, among other things – the functionality that made Garmin a household name from the very beginning.

We wrote that with “many slim gender-neutral devices on the market now from the likes of Amazfit and Apple, it’s hard to justify paying that much for a watch that looks good, but does less”. We’re hoping the Lily 2 can change that by adding GPS, Garmin’s improved heart rate sensors and some of their more advanced fitness features they’ve developed over the past few years, such as the Exercise Readiness Score.
