Ganjar Pranowo’s Eligibility Increased, Here Are 4 Facts About Indonesian Political Indicators Survey Results

TIME.CO, Jakarta – Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo he once again occupied the top eligibility position for presidential candidates (capres) according to a poll conducted by the Indonesian agency Political Indicators last December. Indonesian Political Indicators Executive Director Burhanuddin Muhtadi said Ganjar’s electability was related to public satisfaction with the performance of President Joko Widodo alias Jokowi.

In the poll conducted from 1 to 6 December 2022, Ganjar is said to have an electability of 35.8% in a simulation of three names of presidential candidates. He is ahead of his two closest competitors, former DKI Jakarta governor Anies Baswedan (28.3%) and defense minister and general chairman of the party Gerindra Prabowo Subianto (26.7%).

1. Ganjar Pranowo excels in all simulations

Indonesian political indicators conducted at least five simulations in the survey. They did a simulation with 34, 19, 10, 7 and 3 presidential candidate names. As a result, Ganjar Pranowo was said to excel in all the simulations performed.

Even though it is superior to Anies and Prabowo, Ganjar’s position is still not entirely secure. The reason is that in the 3 name simulation there are still 9.2% of people who have not made their choice.

2. Ganjar eligibility increased throughout the month of December

Political indicators also trended positive towards Ganjar during November-December 2022. This can be seen from the increase in eligibility from 33.9% in November to 35.8% in December.

The presidential candidate also performed well Prabowo Subianto. According to the survey, Prabowo increased from 23.9% in November 2022 to 26.7% in December 2022.

Meanwhile, presidential candidate Anies Baswedan saw a negative trend from 32.2% to 28.3%.
