Galaxy A smartphones are ridiculously expensive? Samsung wants to prove you wrong

Samsung is considering expanding support for smartphones from the Galaxy A family, of course those from the higher-end. Does Samsung want to impress ManiaKom?

Flagship Galaxy with 3-year support

On the occasion premieres of Galaxy Note 20 smartphones, Samsung has made an important declaration.

The Korean manufacturer decided extend support for select Galaxy flagships to up to three major system updates.

It was widely recognized as a very good decision, although limiting support to high-end smartphones, and from 2019, not everyone liked it.

It turns out that Samsung can offer better support not only for the Galaxy S, Galaxy Z or Galaxy Note series.

3-year updates also for Galaxy A?

One of the Korean owners of the Galaxy A90 asked the manufacturer whether the extended support is actually only intended for Samsung’s flagship smartphones.

The consultant replied that Samsung is considering introducing three-year updates also for smartphones from the Galaxy A familybut the high-end ones. It is not yet known what models this may apply to, so at the moment you need to approach this information calmly. One thing is for sure – they could not debut before the Galaxy S10.

What smartphones will be able to count on up to three major updates will be determined by internal tests, whose task will be to check how the phones cope with the newer version of the system.

Apparently, models from 2018, such as the Galaxy S9 or Galaxy Note 9, do not have a chance for the third Android update due to hardware deficiencies.

Let each of us judge for himself whether it makes any sense.
