The youngster has attracted attention in his native Brazil with Corinthians, and has already made 21 appearances for the senior team despite recently turning 18. A defensive midfielder by trade, Moscardo is attracting the attention of some of Europe’s biggest clubs. Both are desperate to add a holding midfielder to their ranks, with the Reds being prominently linked with Fluminense’s Brazilian compatriot André, although they have now moved on to other targets. As for the Blaugrana, they are still searching for a replacement long term for club legend Sergio Busquets, who left for Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami in the summer. Former Chelsea player Oriol Romeu was always a stopgap solution for the cash-strapped Catalans. Speaking of Chelsea, the Blues are also eyeing Moscardó despite signing Moisés Caicedo and Lesley Ugochukwu in the summer.
