The rescue service was alerted a total of 246 times in the past 24 hours. In 72 cases, an ambulance was called. The rescue helicopter Christoph 38 had to be used twice within the city. Furthermore, 201 qualified patient transports were carried out. During this period, the fire brigade was called to three fire operations and to provide technical assistance in 21 cases.
Tram derailed

In the evening, an NGT D8 DD tram derailed in the switch area of the Infineon-Süd track triangle. The front bogie of the vehicle was no longer on the tracks when the fire brigade arrived. The advancing forces were able to lift the train in the front area and use a sliding bridge to bring the first part of the car back into position. Tram traffic on line 8 was restricted for the period of the operation and was released again in the course of the morning hours. The train had to be driven to the workshop after the incident. 22 emergency services from the Albertstadt and Löbtau fire and rescue stations were deployed.
Balcony fire

For reasons that are still unclear, small pieces of furniture caught fire on the balcony of an apartment building on Tuesday morning. The arriving fire brigade was able to extinguish the fire with two teams wearing respiratory protection and a hollow jet. The adjoining apartment and the neighboring balconies have not been damaged. No people were injured. The police have started investigating the cause of the fire. 22 emergency services from the Albertstadt fire and rescue station, the Neustadt rescue station and the underground and underground services were deployed.
