MPeople with low incomes can apply for a housing subsidy of at least 150 euros. If you want to get the funding, you have to be quick.
Since October 23rd, the Lower Austrian housing subsidy can be applied for on the website of the state of Lower Austria. The Lower Austrian housing cost subsidy is given to those households whose income does not exceed the following limits: 20,000 euros for a person with their main residence in Lower Austria and 50,000 euros if several people have their main residence at one address.
150 euros are paid out for the first person living in the household and 50 euros for each additional person. “It doesn’t matter whether you own or rent. It doesn’t matter which energy source is used for heating,” says State Councilor Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister (ÖVP).
However, if you still want to get the funding, you have to be quick. The application is still possible until December 31, 2023 here on the country’s website. People who do not have online access can contact the service number 02742/9005-15970.
