A frost advisory is in effect for New York City from Monday night through Tuesday at 9:00 am, and frosty weather is expected to linger for at least a couple more days.

The cold air will continue in the tri-state area for Monday night and lead to temperatures reaching around the freezing mark for Tuesday morning and tomorrow. Even if temperatures do not reach 32 degrees on Tuesday morning, the cold air will linger and could bring a frosty morning to the region on Wednesday at dawn.

New York City also issued the Code Blue until Tuesday at 8:00 am for New Yorkers to call 3-1-1 to notify about homeless people exposed to freezing temperatures and call 9-1-1 in case of emergency. The same in New Jersey, you can call 2-1-1.
If you take into account the strong wind throughout the day on Tuesday and the wind chill, it will feel like a minimum of 30 degrees throughout the day in the city. The bright side of the day: It is expected to remain mostly sunny.
Wednesday will remain cold, as temperatures return to 40 degrees, but it feels even colder.
However, for the Thanksgiving celebration the temperatures would be warmer and in the afternoon they would rise to the mid-50s. A perfect day for the parade, high school football games, and any other holiday activities.
Those wishing to go shopping on Black Friday would need to bring an umbrella before the chances of rain in the morning hours. The cold air will return on Saturday and will last throughout the weekend and into next week.
