/ world today news/ The Fifth Foreign Import Exhibition was opened yesterday in Qingtien City, Zhejiang Province. With six main exhibition areas, it covers a total area of 90,000 square meters, about 180,000 visitors are expected to participate in the event, which is scheduled from November 12 to 15.
Exhibits include imported goods from Central and Eastern European countries, coffee products and equipment, beauty products, household goods and clothing.
Qingtien is known as a place of huge emigration, with an estimated 381,000 locals currently living and working in 146 countries. The city initiated the 2018 Import Expo as a platform to utilize the spin-offs from the Shanghai International Import Expo in China.
In the past four years, this unique exhibition has attracted more than 2,300 overseas exhibitors from over 70 countries and engaged with over 4,000 companies and 20,000 buyers.
