French teenager (17) ‘was taken and held by several kidnappers’ | Abroad

The girl turned up on Tuesday in a kebab shop in Mayenne. She is still in shock, but during her interrogation she already told what happened to her. She had been kidnapped by several people, she said, after which they held her captive. She eventually managed to escape. She could not give details of where she was being held or by whom.

Her parents had raised the alarm after she went jogging in a forest area on Monday and did not return. The girl’s running app indicated that she stopped abruptly after just one kilometer while running in the Mayenne region, while her normal lap is 5 kilometers long.

Her father had found his daughter’s belongings in the forest, according to French media, it was a telephone and earplugs with traces of blood. Justice has opened an investigation into possible kidnapping, but is also keeping other options open. After the disappearance, a man was soon arrested who made incoherent statements.
