French Minister Schiappa Featured on Playboy Magazine Cover: A Profile

Minister of Social Economy and Associations French Marlene Schiappa was in the spotlight after her photo graced the cover of Playboy magazine.

On the main page, he appears to be posing in white clothes which are considered quite minimal. Many parties commented on the minister’s actions, some considered the action inappropriate.

The interview in the magazine is said to contain her activities regarding women’s rights and LGBT. Schiappa also didn’t bother with the criticism from various parties.

“Defending women’s right to do what they want with their bodies: anywhere, anytime,” Schiappa wrote on Twitter.

Amidst the commotion, Playboy editor, Jean Christophe Florentin, said Schiappa was the right person for the magazine’s topic this time.

“Because she is close to women’s rights and she understands that it is not an old ‘macho’ magazine but can be an instrument for feminist causes,” said Florentin, as quoted Business Insider.

Apart from that, who exactly is Marlene Schiappa who became the talk of the town after appearing on the cover of Playboy magazine?

Schiappa was appointed minister in July 2022. Prior to this position, he was Deputy Mayor of Le Mans (Sarthe) in 2014-2022. He is also known as a writer and feminist in France.
