Free parking for residents of Zandvoort and Bentveld

Zandvoort After the fall of the college around mid-May, a new coalition was formed under formator Eric van der Berg. On Friday morning, June 26, the new coalition program was completed and signed: ‘Zandvoort: Strong together through the crisis’. The coalition agreement strengthens the 2018-2022 Council program. The coalition consists of VVD, D66, CDA, PvdA and GBZ.

Parking

Paid parking will be introduced throughout Zandvoort. The first parking permit is free for the residents of Zandvoort and Bentveld. A cost-effective rate will be charged for the following parking permits (for example, the visitor’s pass). The number of parking spaces in Zandvoort will remain the same. But due to adjustments to the winter rate, the hotel permits and the expansion of paid parking spaces, parking revenues for the municipality will increase by 20 percent.

Coronafonds

A corona fund will be set up to mitigate the consequences of the corona crisis. The 10 million fund is financed from the proceeds from the sale of the Eneco shares. (revenue 16.1 million). 3 million is available for residents, entrepreneurs and institutions that are experiencing financial problems. 3 million is also available to stimulate a strong sustainable economy with enough employment. The remaining 4 million is needed for the loss of municipal income due to the crisis.

Sustainability fund

The municipality will work on a clean green and sustainable image of Zandvoort by means of a sustainability fund. This fund will amount to 5 million euros and will also come from the sale of the Eneco shares. Half of the fund is spent on loans and / or investments for sustainability projects. The repayments are returned to the fund and can then be lent again.

Participation

The new college is also going to put extra effort into participation. Once a month, the members of the college will have a consultation hour. Aldermen will consult with the neighborhood, whereby residents may also determine the agenda. A budget will become available for neighborhoods, which residents can appeal to. Finally, there will be much more digital communication, whereby residents can indicate what they need to get through the corona crisis.

Deregulation

A project plan for deregulation will be submitted to the council before the end of the year. The aim is to relieve entrepreneurs and residents of administrative burdens. A reporting point will be set up where residents and entrepreneurs can report which regulations they consider unnecessary.

In addition, a ceiling will be set against the additional costs of official cooperation. This will amount to 200,000 euros for 2021 and 100,000 euros for 2022. It is also stated that the priority scheme for permit holders will be canceled. A motion had already been passed on this in the city council. Alderman Gert-Jan Bluijs (CDA) and Ellen Verheij (VVD) return to the college. Bluijs largely keeps his portfolio, while Verheij no longer deals with the portfolio circuit. The circuit goes to the third alderman of D66, whose name will be announced on Monday 29 June. The next day on Tuesday, June 30, all three councilors will be sworn in at the council meeting.
