The French Hermine of Clermont-Tonnerre, personality of the Gotha and the European jet-set, died Friday morning in Paris at the age of 54 years following a motorcycle accident, her family announced to AFP.
Coming from one of the great houses of the French nobility, Hermine de Clermont-Tonnerre, princess according to a pontifical title granted to her family in 1823, has published several successful guides to good manners, including “Politesse oblige” (L’Archipel ) and “The Art and the manner of the wedding speech” (Lattès).

“Hermine left us this Friday at 10.45 am after a month of coma at the Kremlin-Bicêtre hospital, following a tragic motorcycle accident. She died with all her family, “said her brother Aynard of Clermont-Tonnerre and his ex-companion, Alastair Cuddeford.
