FPÖ – Belakowitsch: “With Mahrer’s demands, social peace would be destroyed and the business location would be completely de-attracted” | Freedom Parliamentary Club

“Austria can no longer be the World Labor Office and World Social Office”

Vienna (OTS) “The unemployment rate rose massively throughout this year, especially among foreign nationals, and it is precisely in such a situation that the WKO President now wants to weaken the provisions of the red-white-red card and bring even more ‘skilled workers’ into our country – Mahrer wants to put a very special gift under the Christmas tree for Austrians this year. Such a demand would destroy social peace in Austria and completely de-attract our business location,” said FPÖ social spokeswoman NAbg today. Dagmar Belakowitsch on relevant statements by WKO President Mahrer in a “Kurier” interview.

“The necessary requirements of the red-white-red card are constantly being reduced by the black-green government and the shortage of skilled workers is still not decreasing. The only thing that is constantly increasing is the number of immigrants into Austria’s social system. Likewise, the inflationary increases in the red-white-red cards only promote wage and social dumping – this also encourages the import of cheap workers,” explained the FPÖ social spokeswoman.

“As long as there are Austrian citizens who were fired because of their age and are now urgently looking for a job and are registered with the employment service, there is no need to even think about employing illegal migrants before Christmas or using the red-white-red card promote immigration. “Austria can no longer be the world labor office and world social office – Mahrer should write that in his economic policy log,” said Belakowitsch.
