FOX Sports: Coventry City strikes, PEC leaves one and a half million to Hamer

Gustavo Hamer is going to try his luck in England, FOX Sports reports Friday. Coventry City, the leader of the English League One, has reached an agreement with PEC Zwolle and will become his new employer.

The news had been in the air for a long time: PEC wanted to keep Hamer trained at Feyenoord, but the right-back cum midfielder opts for an adventure in England. According to FOX Sports, PEC will receive one and a half million euros from the transfer of the born Brazilian, who was still under contract for one year.

Hamer now has a stay in the Championship. The regular League One season will no longer be completed, so list captain Coventry City is already certain of promotion to the second level.

Hamer completed the Feyenoord training and left for PEC in 2018, after previously playing for FC Dordrecht on a rental basis. The 22-year-old youth international of Orange played exactly fifty official games in Zwolle service and scored four hits and seven assists.
