Fourth victim files complaint against Marilyn Manson: 'I don't think I'll ever feel 100% safe again'

Three ex-girlfriends of the singer have already charged him with rape and sexual abuse, and a fourth, official indictment has now been added. Model Ashley Smithline (36), who had a relationship with Manson in the past, previously stated that she had also become a victim of the singer, but only really filed a complaint with the police this week.

On Tuesday, 36-year-old Ashley Smithline officially filed a complaint against her ex Marilyn Manson. According to the model, Brian Warner, the singer’s real name, has his initials engraved on her thigh. For this he used a knife with the emblem of a swastika on it. Smithline already made the abuse known in February in a post on her Instagram account and in May she already told about her experiences with the singer. “I survived a monster,” it sounded then in the American magazine People.

The model says that Manson first contacted her in the summer of 2010. Then he asked her to play in a remake of ‘True Romance’. A few months later, in November, the singer asked Smithline to move in with him. From then on, however, things quickly went from bad to worse. Ashley had to walk around in black lingerie all the time in front of the other band members.

Locked up and abused

Ashley’s testimony shows that they did indeed split the sheets, but that Manson quickly became more violent. For example, at one point she woke up and noticed that her wrists and ankles were tied to their bed. Then the singer allegedly assaulted her. The 36-year-old model begged him to stop. Only the singer had no message about that. “Just shut up” and “Be quiet” he called to her, among other things. In fact, it got so rough that Smithline sustained injuries to both her ribs and her genitals. “He kept repeating the following: It’s not rape when you’re in love.”

Moreover, it did not stop at sexual abuse. Ashley was locked up several times by the singer and he also confiscated her cell phone. Smithline also had no further contact with her family or friends and says Manson threatened to kill her if she ever tried to leave. Smithline finally managed to end their relationship in January 2013, but to this day, the model still struggles with panic attacks and other mental health problems. “I don’t think I’ll ever feel 100% safe again.”

Ashley Smithline is not the only victim of the singer. According to the American magazine People, there are already fifteen women who have accused Manson of (sexual) abuse. These include two ex-girlfriends, Evan Rachel Wood and Esmé Bianco, and his ex-assistant Ashley Walters. Marilyn Manson continues to deny all allegations for the time being.
