Four minors were placed in police custody as part of an investigation into a violent attack in Lyon.
MISCELLANEOUS NEWS – This is a video of great violence. Viral on social networks since yesterday, it shows a teenager beaten by young girls. The prosecution announced in a press release that four minors were in police custody this Friday, December 15 in Lyon in connection with this case.
An investigation was opened to “aggravated violence and repeated death threats”. The victim, who suffered total incapacity for work for one day, filed a complaint two days after this attack, according to information from the Parisian.
What happened ?
The facts date back to October 10, said the prosecution. Relayed in particular by accounts close to the extreme right, a video montage of the scene was published on social networks this Thursday, December 14, quickly reaching several hundred thousand views.
We see a teenage girl on the ground being hit successively by two others for almost a minute, receiving slaps, knees and being dragged to the ground by her hair. “Talk again about my brother”threatens one of the attackers, while two other young girls film the scene.
Where is the investigation?
As of this Thursday, October 14 in the evening, the police had called on X not to share the video, “out of respect for the victim”. The film was reported to the Pharos platform, the portal for reporting illegal content on the Internet. However, it remained visible Friday at midday.
The prosecution reported a first police custody on Friday morning, then three others at midday. According to him, these are “teenagers suspected of having participated in these events”.
According to the newspaper Progressthe first suspect, aged 13, presented herself to the police station saying she had received death threats after the video was broadcast.
What does the victim say?
Questioned in the evening by BFMTVthe victim of the attack changed college and assures ” get better “. She says that the other girls in the video came to pick her up in front of her old establishment. They then went to find her old friends to tell them that they were “very happy to have smashed (him)”.
His father was also interviewed on the subject. He confides that his daughter “knew that a video had been filmed” and to have “filed a complaint following this”. And following the broadcast of these images, he once again finds himself obliged to change his daughter’s school clothes.
