Four men in their twenties appeared before the Amiens Criminal Court on Tuesday for sexual assaults in a meeting on two teenage girls. The facts date back to the night of March 13 to 14, 2021, in an apartment in Amiens, managed by a humanitarian structure and inhabited by one of the defendants, of Moroccan nationality. Two of the four defendants filmed the sexual assaults on their mobile phones, which were broadcast live on the social network Snapchat.
The case is reserved for May 31, 2023
The Amiens Criminal Court has put the case under advisement until May 31. The public prosecutor requires 6 years in prison and a ban on presence on French territory for Khalid, 20, author of a sexual assault; 6 years in prison for Mohamed, without prohibition of presence the French territory because the defendant has a child in France. For Khalil, who touched one of the victims and filmed the attacks, the prosecutor requires four years of imprisonment and a ban on presence on French territory. Added to this is an additional 4 months imprisonment for the fingerprints. For the fourth and last defendant, also named Khalid, the prosecutor requires 3 and a half years in prison, a ban on presence on French territory and four additional months for the refusal to give his fingerprints.
A very blurred evening for the victim present at the trial
The court draws the portrait of the two victims, “fragile young girls“16 years old at the material time, both placed in foster care after domestic violence. The two friends are used to running away from home. On the morning of March 14, 2021, one of the two victims, S., aged 16, telephoned her educator. Placed in foster care for three weeks, she reports to him that she was slapped, then forcibly kissed by a young man present at this evening, who also touched her sex under duress. Heard by the police, S. and K., her best friend at the time with whom she shared her room in the home, explained that they had been forced to drink a lot of alcohol, to such an extent that K. felt unwell at the end of the night.
At the helm, K., 18 years old today, indicates that the facts remain very vague for her. This March 14, 2021, she runs away from her home around 1 a.m. to go to this party where she only knew one of the four defendants, Mohamed: “I trusted him“, she explains. At the beginning of the evening, the teenager performs oral sex on this young man. But then things get out of hand. The defendants force her to drink a lot of alcohol, vodka: “I had never drunk so much in my life, I have no memory of the end of the evening“, she says at the bar, face closed. Touching K. is then filmed. The teenager vomits, she changes her clothes. It is there that unconscious, she explains to have been the victim of two relationships non-consensual sex. A defendant films this first report, broadcast live on social networks. The young woman has her eyes closed, “she seems to be sleeping“, underlines the president of the court. On the video, the expert notes that a voice says in particular about the victim: “Don’t touch her too much, otherwise you’ll wake her up and you won’t be able to fuck her.”
The defendants unable to say why the attacks were filmed
Khalid, implicated in the first non-consensual sexual relationship, speaks: « K. was sleeping, then she woke up without my knowing why: it was she who came to me, who took me in his arms to have a report.
