Kraft, who took 13th place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen from the race for overall victory, landed on the Bergisel at 132.5 meters, showing the longest jump of the day. Lindvik, who had celebrated his first World Cup victory in Garmisch, came to 131.5 meters in slightly worse wind conditions and was ultimately 2.1 points ahead due to the wind points.
Philipp Aschenwald also rehabilitated after 25th place in the New Year’s competition with a jump of 131.0 meters, with the Tyrolean taking third place four points behind Lindvik with tour second Karl Geiger from Germany (131.5 m). Tour and World Cup leader Ryoyu Kobayashi from Japan finished fifth in the qualification after jumping to 130.0 meters.

In addition to Kraft and Aschenwald, Jan Hörl, Michael Hayböck, Clemens Aigner, Gregor Schlierenzauer, Stefan and Daniel Huber, as well as Clemens Leitner and Markus Schiffner also qualified for the main competition on Saturday (2 p.m., live on ORF1).
