Fort-Boyard: Claude, the champion of “Koh-Lanta”, flies over the tests and breaks a record

the essential
Claude, record holder of the number of event victories in “Koh-Lanta”, but unhappy finalist of the last season, participated in “Fort-Boyard” this Saturday evening.

He immediately warned: “You know me, I am a totem collector, today I come to collect the keys”. Claude Darbois, figure of “Koh-Lanta” with seventeen test victories in three participations, participated in “Fort-Board”, this Saturday evening. A first for the champion of the adventure game on the front page. Claude was part of a team that included Camille Cerf, Miss France 2015, Clémence Botino, Miss France 2020, the humorist Booder and the singer Tom Leeb who should have represented France at Eurovision.

First test for Claude,: run on a treadmill to put six balls in rings. A faultless for the candidate – despite several falls – which allowed his team to win his first key. For the second test, he had to challenge Little Boo, one of the characters of the fort, played by a teenager. Objective: achieve fifty abs as quickly as possible. The teenager won little, Claude said he was “disgusted” by recognizing that he “does not easily leave the victory to the opponent”.

For his third test, the ex-candidate of “Koh-Lanta” had to face the beam of water jets. The test consisted of walking on a beam stretched over the ocean, perforated with holes which let pass powerful jets of water, in order to retrieve a code. The success rate for this test is less than 20% and no candidate has won it since 2016. Concentrated, applied, Claude won the test.

Still above the water, for the fourth test, Claude had to surf in the void. Lying on a cable-guided surfboard, 20 meters above the ocean, and launched at 50 km / h, he had to stand up in front of a red ball. Again successful test.

Champion out of category, follower of marathon or trail, Claude succeeded again against one of the masters of the time. The test was to hold a piece of paper, ignite it at an angle, and be the last to drop it.

“I wanted to do all the tests,” said Claude to Parisian. Confident in him, the only test he dreaded was to find himself in a confined space with snakes. He escaped. Deep in the game, he dislocated a finger on a bad fall during the first test. He also “hit his calf” – which swelled – and suffered several scrapes. None of these injuries were shown on the air.

On the program for the candidate now: family vacations from mid-July. At the same time, he will step up his preparation for the Templar trail planned for October in the region of Millau sur les Causses. In early July, Claude posted a photo on Instagram of his training in the Bouconne forest west of Toulouse.

At the end of the show, the team won € 12,646. The sum will go to the association “Les bons fées” which works for women with cancer and which plans to open a first place of reception in Lille.
