Mexico City. The 2025 Mexican Grand Prix will take place on the weekend of October 24 to 26, after the circuit in the United States (Austin) and before the Brazilian GP, ​​in Sao Paulo, in a Formula 1 season that will have for the first once in six years to Australia as the inaugural venue instead of Bahrain, the International Automobile Federation (FIA) reported in the presentation of the calendar.

Mexico and seven other circuits – including Belgium, Monaco, Italy and the Netherlands – will end their contract with F1 next year. On different occasions, authorities and organizers of the GP have expressed their interest in extending the agreement, although more countries intend to have a place in the great motorsport festival. This is the case of China, which will host a race this April 21 after a five-year absence, and South Korea, whose project includes an urban circuit through the streets of Incheon, a city near Seoul.

As in previous editions where thousands of people traveled from north to south to go to the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, the F1 series will thus reach the last appointment of the link announced in 2022 by the Government of Mexico City.

The 24-race season will begin on March 16 in Melbourne and end on December 7 in Abu Dhabi. The big race in Bahrain has been the first of each drivers’ championship since 2021, while the one in Saudi Arabia earned its place as the second on the calendar since 2022.

F1 did not race at Melbourne’s Albert Park circuit in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but will now host the inaugural race instead in the Middle Eastern kingdom because the Muslim holy month of Ramadan falls in March. next year.
