Former Government Pleader Manu’s Anticipatory Bail Plea Rejected by High Court

Kochi – Former government pleader Adv. PG The High Court rejected Manu’s anticipatory bail plea. Justice P. Gopinath ordered that if he surrenders within ten days, he should be produced before the magistrate and the bail application should be considered without delay.

A case was registered against Manu after the girl’s statement was recorded and evidence was collected in the complaint received by the Rural SP. After registering the case, Manu had resigned as a senior government pleader of the High Court.

The complainant and her parents came to see the lawyer last October in connection with the case that took place in 2018. Later, the girl was often threatened and tortured in the office and at the girl’s home in Kadavantra, the complaint said. A case has been registered under the IT Act for taking a private picture of the girl without permission and sending an obscene message to her phone. The police have recorded the videos and private messages sent by the government pleader to the girl as evidence.
