“Force stop”: how to be offline on WhatsApp without disconnecting from the internet

Many times WhatsApp works slow, hangs or simply does not respond as it should. To solve these problems you can use the function of “Force stop”, which is not exclusive to the chat application, but to the applications that we install on our phone in general. AND can also help with an additional benefit: “disconnect” from the app for a while.

The option is under the configuration of the app itself, the same place where we have the possibility to uninstall it. In this case, “force stop” is a tool that allows, in the end, to restart the application. Without losing chats, sent and received files, audios or videos. Everything is stored, but with this option we are restarting the app.

And what do we gain from this? First, something similar to when on our laptop or PC a program does not respond at all well: we close it and reopen it. Which as a consequence can speed up its use.

There is a second use of “force stop”. These operations can generally be performed in applications at the cost of disconnecting from the internet. If we force the app to stop, we do not receive notifications until the next login. No need to disconnect data or Wi-Fi network.

But to complete the process efficiently, you should also do something else: clear the cache. The cached data is for the application to have quick access to certain information that it uses frequently. That is why it is convenient to eliminate them periodically, to speed it up.

The Instagram mobile application was updated and added a new function with which it allows its users to send and receive chat messages with Facebook users through its Messenger app, as part of plans to integrate Facebook messaging services .

Last year it was announced that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg planned a unification of the messaging structure of all the company’s products: Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp, and that the company also worked so that chats were end-to-end encrypted.

Now, as reported by The Verge, Instagram began to spread a new update of its application over the weekend that shows a notice when opening warning of the arrival of “a new form of messages to Instagram”, with aesthetic novelties such as a new design, emojis to react and swipe responses.

However, the main novelty of the update is that Instagram now allows you to chat with people through your Facebook account through the messaging application of the social network, Messenger.

Users who choose to update and access Instagram direct messages see how the Instagram logo changes to Messenger’s, as well as the design. At the moment, it is still not possible to write to Instagram accounts from Facebook.

The new feature began to appear to users of the Instagram application for Android and iOS mobile systems.
