For the easy trigger, they impute a deputy commissioner

In the last hours of this Friday, the prosecutor José Mana charged Deputy Commissioner Sergio Alejandro González with aggravated cover-up and omission of the duty of a public official in the framework of the investigation into the murder of Blas Correas.

The judicial official also expanded the accusation against the assistant officer Yamila Florencia Martínez, who now in addition to responding for the crime of omission of the duties of a public official is also accused of aggravated cover-up.

For the moment, both will remain free, according to a judicial source.

In this way, there are already five police officers charged in this case: First Corporal Lucas Gómez and Javier Alarcón are in prison and must answer for the murder of Blas and four attempts to murder his companions in the car; while their duo Wanda Esquivel and Martínez were accused of aggravated cover-up, the same as the deputy commissioner charged this Friday. Of these last three policemen, Esquivel also remains in detention.

Earlier, the prosecution had ordered a raid on the Aconcagua Sanatorium, where a computer was seized with the list of all the employees who were working during the early hours of Thursday 6 of this month, at which time two of Blas’s friends arrived with the young man badly injured up there and they could not get him to be treated by the doctors.

Sources from the prosecution highlighted that these advances in the case have been achieved thanks to the work of the Criminal Investigations detectives. They underlined it because at first it made noise in some sectors that it was police who investigated their peers. For prosecutor Mana, this was far from being a problem for the file to continue growing.
