Football player Voitāne makes his debut as a member of the German Bundesliga “Meppen”

Mepena (Germany), Sept. 14, LETA. On Sunday, the midfielder of the Latvian women’s football team Sandra Voitāne made her debut in the ranks of the German Bundesliga club “Meppen”, going to the match with “Potsdam” in the 83rd minute.

In the second round match of the Bundesliga, “Meppen” played 2: 2 (0: 0) with “Potsdam”.

Latviete left the field in the 83rd minute, when the result was already 2: 2.

The housewife took the lead with Maike Berencen’s show in the 47th minute and Agneska Vinčo’s “goal” in the 65th minute, but the guests equalized the result within four minutes. The exact 66th minute was Caroline Nielsen and four minutes later – Nina Eegoca.

With two points in two matches, Meppen ranks seventh in the 12-team competition.

Voitāne previously represented the club of the strongest championship in Cyprus “Apollon Ladies”, but has now become the first Latvian in the German Women’s Bundesliga.

The Meppen team is a debutant in the Bundesliga Championship.

The 20-year-old Voitāne has previously represented the Latvian U-17 and U-19 national teams in his career, as well as has already managed to play 33 games in the adult national team.

The National Guard made its debut in the national team in February 2015 only at the age of 15.
