Freiburg (AP) – Unlike Bundesliga soccer team RB Leipzig, the league rival SC Freiburg is currently not planning a timely return to team training. “The current availability in Baden-Württemberg currently does not allow any changes to our previous training operations,” said a spokesman for the club on Friday when asked. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Breisgauer train like the rest of the league under strict conditions in small groups and without duels.
The Leipzigers want to return to team training early next week. The RB players will undergo a corona test on Friday and Monday, which will be examined in a Berlin laboratory. “The plan is to get back into team training on Tuesday, as far as all tests are negative,” said managing director Oliver Mintzlaff on Friday.
