Advantage: it is a “pleated” fabric mask that covers the nose, mouth and chin.
Disadvantage: you have to follow a specific pattern and have some notions of sewing, which can discourage more than one.
Please note, this mask complies with the new recommendations (“Better an artisan mask than nothing at all”) but it is in no way a guarantee of non-contamination. Only confinement and respect for barrier gestures effectively protect you.
