On Wednesday evening, at around 8 p.m., a 19-year-old driver drove on the main street from Flühli LU towards Sörenberg. Shortly after the Ochsenweid, he lost control of his car on the snow-covered street. This hurled onto the oncoming lane and the adjacent pavement. There a group of pedestrians was hit by the car.

The three pedestrians, a 61-year-old woman and two girls aged 12 and 13 respectively, were driven to various hospitals by the emergency services with considerable injuries. (PMA)
