Ten years ago, the American concern General Motors was going through difficult times – serious financial difficulties forced to get rid of many brands. Then Saab was sold, and the brands Pontiac, Saturn, Hummer went down in history. However, the NEVS company has recently been producing old Saabs, and now Hummer is ready for revival! He will enter the new era as part of the GMC brand, which specializes in the production of SUVs and pickups.
But the surprises do not end there. Former gluttonous SUVs are forever in the past, and the new GMC Hummer will be an electric pickup truck! The power of its power plant will reach 1000 hp, and the torque on wheels – 15590 Nm. Acceleration to 60 miles per hour (97 km / h) will require only three seconds. In short, Hummer will become a worthy competitor to the Tesla Cybertruck pickup.
The production of electric pickups will be established at the Detroit factory, which will be closed for modernization within a month. Subsequently, other GM electric vehicles will also be registered there. So far, only one teaser has been published, the official premiere of the new Hammer will take place on May 20 this year, and the first serial electric pickups will reach dealers closer to the end of 2021.
