Cristina Lorenzo was a nurse and when the Coronavirus arrived in Buenos Aires, many in her workplace, the Hospital Central de San Isidro, in Buenos Aires, recommended that she step aside, mainly because of her age (62 years) and because of suffer from hypertension. But the nurse did not want to and continued working on the front line fighting the pandemic.
But the Covid is miserable and attacked Lorenzo. The virus was brutal. The nurse was hospitalized for four days, plasma was applied to try to stop her aggressive attack, but it did not work. On Thursday Cristina passed away.

The nurse worked for 20 years at the Central Hospital of San Isidro. “She was one of those nurses who fight for their patients, because many times the things that are needed do not arrive in a timely manner. She got everything she set out to do, that’s how Cristina was,” wrote her colleague Horacio Escobar, leader of the Buenos Aires campus.
Today the video of when Lorenzo’s body leaves the hospital he loved so much was released. His atud was flanked by the workers of the compound, who did not stop applauding until the coffin was inside the funeral vehicle.
The well deserved goodbye for a hero nurse.
