The southern US state is becoming a no-go area for (re)insurers. To compensate, Florida is now taking on the role of a reinsurer, allowing primary insurers to continue offering protection. The state celebrates the solution, the analysis house Artemis and Swiss Re, on the other hand, are not fans of the status quo.
