The health authorities again registered a positive case of covid-19 in the municipality of Monção, after five weeks of ‘clean record’, the municipality announced yesterday.
The infected person is an emigrant who is on vacation in the municipality and is being “properly accompanied and monitored”, says the municipality in a note published on social networks.
The municipality leaves the call to avoid the maximum concentration of people and to increase care, at a time when the municipality “grows in demographic terms, enhancing the existence of friends and family gatherings”.
“The path taken so far has required significant effort from everyone. We must not throw away so much work and sacrifice. The civic spirit and responsibility of the people of Monaco, demonstrated since the beginning of the pandemic, must continue to manifest. Let us not let our guard down ”, points out the same note.
According to the latest epidemiological report released by the Directorate-General for Health, the municipality of Monção registers 113 accumulated cases of people infected with the SARS CoV-2 virus.
However, according to data provided by the municipality, the municipality registers 129 accumulated cases, one active, 117 recovered and eleven deaths.
