The incident took place in the car park of a hotel on Fatih Mahallesi Ege Caddesi at around 23:00. According to the allegation, Fatih N. came to Izmir from Denizli on 9 November to see his 13-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son, who was from Olena N. (38), whom he divorced in 2017. In the meeting that took place today, Fatih N. was longing with his son when he allegedly did not want to see the girl. Olga N. arrived late at the hotel to pick up her son, allegedly with her lover Hasan Yavuz.

There was a dispute over Fatih N.’s ex-wife’s arrival with her lover to take her son. When the parties insulted each other loudly, the people around were disturbed. Thereupon, Fatih N. and Hasan Yavuz left the lobby and went to the hotel’s parking lot to talk. The debate that continued here turned into a fight. Fatih N. shot Yavuz in the head with the gun on him. While the people around were going to the place where the gunfire came from, this time Fatih N. committed suicide by shooting himself in the head with a gun.
Citizens who saw the incident reported the situation to the health and police teams. Upon the notification, the medical teams determined that both people died in their control. Hasan Yavuz and their relatives who heard that Fatih N. died, had a nervous breakdown at the scene.
Police teams made investigations at the scene. While Olena N. was taken to the police station to take a statement, the bodies of Hasan Yavuz and Fatih N. were taken to the morgue of the Izmir Forensic Medicine Institute after the prosecutor’s examination. It was learned that Fatih N. and Olena N.’s grand daughters did not want to come to see their father. The investigation is ongoing.
