Featuring appearances in as many as ten films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Robert Downey Jr. probably the most important face for the successful superhero franchise. Some time ago it became clear that Downey Jr. the number one candidate was for the role.
A photo has now surfaced on reddit showing Downey Jr. for the first time his Iron Man helmet fits on the set of Iron Man from 2008. In that film the most use was made of a real helmet. Computer animations were increasingly used in later MCU films. Especially when he got access to his nano Mark 50 harness.
Eleventh time as Iron Man?
There are still rumors that Downey Jr. in Black Widow will be seen briefly as Tony Stark, and not as Iron Man. Despite being debunked by Marvel Studios, Stark’s Iron Man could just be seen in films that introduce the Multiverse in grand style. His most recent performance was of course in Avengers: Endgame.
