Fires in Australia – Apple and Ubisoft Australia Help Kangaroo Country – News

After Bungie which offers players Destiny 2 T-Shirts in limited edition to help Australia fight the bush fires that have been raging for several months in their country, it is the turn of Ubisoft and Apple to join forces with the Australian Red Cross to provide additional aid to the land of kangaroos.

Ubisoft never thinks twice to offer help when major disasters strike countries. After making a donation of 500,000 euros to help rebuild Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris following the fire at the monument, the Australian subsidiary of the French company decides to help Australia. Indeed, despite the numerous recommendations from players claiming paid in-game items in order to collect donations for Australia, Ubisoft Australia decided to act by proposing a more immediate action.

The bushfire crisis has devastated communities across the country and the losses are devastating. We have heard calls to create in-game items to encourage donations, but it takes considerable development time and we believe immediate action is needed.

This immediate action, as shown in the tweet available above, comes down to a donation of $ 30,000 to the Australian Red Cross. Ubisoft Australia also specifies in a second tweet that all players who wish to help Australia are welcome.

If you are interested in making a donation, here are links to some of the many organizations that are working around the clock to support people and wildlife affected by the bushfire crisis.

For his part Tim Cook, the general manager of Apple, had declared last December that the American company would come to the aid of Australia in the days to come.

Our hearts are with those affected by the Australian bush fires and with the courageous force of volunteers fighting fires across the country. Apple will donate to support the rescue.

So this day has arrived! Indeed, the American company has just entered into a partnership with the Red Cross and has decided to update the American and Australian websites of the brand to allow users to make donations from their iTunes account. They can then help Australia by making donations ranging from $ 5 to $ 200. Obviously, the money collected will then be donated to the Red Cross. The American firm also specified that it will also make a donation. However, it has not yet specified the amount of the latter.
