The fire crews still do not have control of the fire in a residential building in Stavanger, but have limited the fire so that it does not spread to the neighboring buildings.
– The home that is on fire is being renovated, Sørvest police district informs X/Twitter.
The police received a report about the fire in the center of Stavanger at 20.15. There was a lot of smoke in the area and the police asked that people who see smoke close their doors and windows.
For a while there was a danger that the fire would spread, but at 9 p.m. the police stated that the fire crews seemed to be able to contain the fire so that it did not spread to the neighboring buildings.
There were no people in the building when the fire started.
