Fire at Liege Airport: the fire under control, no injuries

UA “fairly significant” fire broke out at Bierset airport, in the province of Liège, in the course of the evening on Wednesday around 10:30 p.m. affecting building B30, between the passenger terminal and the oil section of the airport, a confirmed to Belga Christian Delcourt, communication manager of Liege Airport.

The firefighters from the airport and Liège were dispatched to the scene. There were no injuries to deplore and no aircraft were affected by the flames leaving. However, smoke development is significant, said Delcourt.

Fire under control shortly after midnight
