Finnish delivery service Wolt is expanding its presence in southern Germany. With the start of its delivery service in Ulm, Wolt opens its 17th location nationwide. However, the pace of expansion is not as high as that of the competition.
That delivery area initially includes the area of Ludwigsfeld BIS blue stone and from Wiblingen to Lehr. the expansion in other communities it already is planned and it should be done promptly.
Fabio Adlassnigg, Head of Communications at Wolt, emphasizes: “We are very pleased that with Wolt the people of Ulm now have the opportunity to take home the colorful diversity of their city. You can choose not only from the best restaurants in the city, but also from a first selection of desserts, including donuts from Royal Donuts”.
Wolt: Third greatest delivery player
Wolt has expanded significantly in recent months. In only 5 years old since it was founded in Helsinki, the technology company is now there 23 countries and more than 280 cities to represent. After market entry in Germany and a successful start in Berlin, Wolt conquered not only Ulm but also Munich, Nuremberg, Stuttgart, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Dortmund and Essen as well as Leipzig, Dresden, Bonn, Mannheim, Hanover, Hamburg, Munich, Offenbach and Frankfurt am Main.
Along with Uber Eats and Lieferando, Wolt is the smallest delivery operator of (among other things) restaurant food in Germany. Lieferating already lists restaurants throughout Germany and employs its own couriers in nearly 70 cities. Uber Eats is in just under 50, Wolt is now in 17 destinations to represent.
