DEPOK, KOMPAS.com – Rizky, an 11-year-old child who was reported missing on Saturday (11/6/2022), apparently died as a result of drifting in the River Ciliwung, Pondokjaya, Cipayung, Depok.
Rizky’s body was found at the Manggarai Floodgate, Menteng, Central Jakarta on Tuesday (14/6/2022) yesterday.
Maman, the victim’s uncle, said that at that time the family had been trying to find Riski’s whereabouts for three days without any direction before Rizky’s body was finally found at the Manggarai Floodgate.
“Because every time, we initially asked (to the victim’s friend) from 18.00 to 13.00, we were asked no one said the truth. We have been looking for the victim for three days without any direction, without any news,” said Maman when met at his residence, Wednesday (15/6/2022).

Prior to that, said Maman, the family had asked the victim’s friends during the initial search process, but they admitted that they did not know where Rizky was.
Two days later, the victim’s new friend gave information that Rizky drift in the river Ciliwung.
“Indeed at first they may be closed because they are afraid, but after two days they feel restless, have trouble sleeping, feel guilty. Finally they talk to us,” said Maman.
Maman suspects that Rizky’s friends’ fears started when the victim sink in the Ciliwung River and they couldn’t save him.

Because, from the confession of a friend of the victim, one of them was held by Rizky’s hand.
“Actually, one of his friends said his hand had time hold when the victim drowned,” said Maman.
“Only because the current and time were deep for Putra, they were dragged away, let go of the handle. So because of that fear they were silent, like that,” he continued.
In addition, Maman said, the victim’s friends had moved the clothes worn by the victim’s friends to another place.
“Indeed, her clothes are on the riverbank with her friend moved from the river bank to the hut near the tomb,” he said.
However, the family refuses to speculate about the motive for the transfer of the victim’s clothes.
“Well, that’s possible talk (with the police), because I don’t know about it. The only problem is whether what was possible (the motive was to remove the traces) or maybe they really felt sorry for their friends because their clothes were on the edge of the river,” he added. .
According to Maman, the family has forgiven the victim’s death as a disaster.
“We don’t know whether there is a follow-up or not from the police, but my family and I have actually let this go as a disaster,” concluded Maman.
The body of an 11-year-old male was found at the Manggarai Water Gate at around 08.00 WIB.
The Head of the Menteng Sector Police (Kapolsek), Police Commissioner Netty Rosdiana Siagian said the victim was suspected of drowning dragged by the current while swimming in the Ciliwung River.
“The body of a man without clothes was found at the floodgate (Manggarai), it is suspected that the victim drowned in the current,” said Netty, in her statement, Tuesday.
Netty said that the victim with the initials MRS swam in the Ciliwung River, Cipayung area, Depok City, on Saturday 11 June 2022 at around 15.00 WIB.
Later, the Pancoran Mas Depok Police received a report from the family that MRS had drowned.
“Swimming with friends in the Ciliwung River, then the victim drowned in the current,” he said.
In addition, Netty ensured that there were no signs of violence on the victim’s body.
“The victim died presumably due to drowning,” he said.
