Driver Mercy Dwiyanto had taken the KTP of Hildan, the ambulance driver, after the incident on the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road. Now Hildan’s ID card has been returned.
“Hildan’s ID card (ambulance driver) has been returned, yesterday Tuesday it was submitted. Information from their side, (Dwiyanto) handed over to Hildan,” said Tangerang Police Chief Kombes Zain Dwi Nugroho when contacted detik.comThursday (24/3/2022).
Meanwhile, Zain confirmed that Dwiyanto was not a prosecutor. Zain said that Dwiyanto’s job was a private employee.
“He is a private employee, not a prosecutor, the information is wrong,” he said.
The reason the Mercy driver ‘holds’ the ambulance driver’s ID card
Previously, Dwiyanto admitted that he had mengambil KTP Hildan arrived at the hospital. Dwiyanto admitted that the ID card was taken so that the ambulance driver would be responsible for the Mercy mirror that was hit.
Dwiyanto is known to have followed the ambulance to the hospital after the incident on the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road. Dwiyanto admitted that he followed the ambulance to the hospital out of curiosity whether the ambulance was really carrying patients or an empty ambulance.
“After that, I asked for an ID card, that’s for the final settlement after the next one,” said Dwiyanto at the Tangerang Police, Wednesday (23/3).
Later, however, he decided not to prolong the mirror issue. Dwiyanto also corrected the information that he did not report Hildan to the police.
“But because I thought it was just a mirror, so I didn’t continue anything. I didn’t report it to the police and so on, okay, I’ll fix it myself,” said Dwiyanto.
Dwiyanto also apologized to the public for his actions. He said he had no intention of blocking the ambulance carrying the mother about to give birth.
