Film:The 2022 Academy Awards will not take place until March

Los Angeles (AP) – The Oscar trophies are not to be awarded in the coming year as originally planned in February, but only at the end of March. The Beverly Hills Film Academy has now announced the key dates for Hollywood’s premier awards ceremony.
The 94th Academy Awards should take place on March 27, 2022 in the traditional Dolby Theater in Hollywood. Initially, the organizers had terminated at the end of February. The Oscar nominations are due to be announced on February 8th.
Again and again shifts
The corona pandemic had messed up the schedule this year. The Oscar Academy pulled the rip cord last June and moved the 93rd Academy Awards from the end of February to the end of April 2021. The postponement was intended to give filmmakers the opportunity to finish their projects. Instead of the end of December, the deadline for the film’s release was the end of February. For the award ceremony in 2022, the usual deadline applies again to show the candidates in cinemas by the end of the year.
The 93rd Academy Awards ceremony at the end of April took place on a much smaller scale due to Corona. The main location was the historic train station building of Union Station in Los Angeles with less than 200 guests. The Dolby Theater in Hollywood, on the other hand, has space for more than 3,000 people.
