Manchester United managed to qualify for the FA Cup semifinals after a grueling match against Norwich City, which lasted until 120 minutes.
United triumphed 2-2 in the England Cup quarter-finals, reaching the 30th time of the semi-finals of the English competition.
Thanks to United’s victory for the deadly goal scored by Harry Maguire in the 118th minute to break the steadfastness of Canary Norwich City.
United first came through Nigerian Odeon Ijalo in the 51st minute with a touch from inside the penalty area.
Before Norwich tied in reverse 75 minutes into the game with Todd Cantwell with a surprise shot against United.
Dutchman Tim Kroll, Norwich City’s goalkeeper, stood up to a hail of chances for United, which came through Bruno Fernandez, Marcial, Paul Pogba and Mason Greenwood.
Norwich City played overtime with 10 players after defender Tim Klose left.
And when everyone waited for the penalty shootout, Maguire took advantage of a defensive flop from Norwich, before he hit a ball from inside the box into Kroll’s net.
Maguire’s deadly goal has written United reaching the tournament’s semi-finals for the 30th time more than any other team.
The other three remaining matches of the Cup quarter-finals will be played on Sunday, facing Sheffield United against Arsenal, then Leicester City against Chelsea, and in the end Manchester City will be a guest of Newcastle United.
