Jean-Luc Bazin, director of contracting in Saint-Etienne and head of scouts, also revealed that negotiations between his club and Zamalek regarding the inclusion of Mustafa Mohamed, the white team striker, have stopped.
The Director of Contracting in Saint-Etienne told FilGoal.com: “The value of the required funds has not changed, but it is important to estimate the current situation of the football world in light of the spreading epidemic.”
He continued, “The negotiations have stopped, but on the part of Zamalek.”
“Zamalek had initially agreed on a method for scheduling the value of the deal and the sale process, but then retracted after the agreement,” he said, “This is the situation, and the rest of the details are confidential.”
John-Luc Bazin continued, “We had reached an agreement to include Mustafa Muhammad on a contract that extends for 4 and a half years.”
He added, “The player asked us about coach Claude Boyle, and he was convinced of what he will offer him and what joining us will give us a push forward to play in the Premier League in the future.”
He completed “the current position of negotiations? Now stalled.”
FilGoal.com had learned earlier that Zamalek asked for 5 million dollars – not euros, as European teams usually deal -, in addition to a million and a half dollars as incentives.
Zamalek also wants a 15% percentage of Mustafa Mohamed’s resale to any team in the future.
FilGoal.com also learned that the French club wants to reduce the resale rate to only 10%, and there is another disagreement over the method of payment, as Saint-Etienne wants to pay the value of the deal in two installments, while Zamalek wants the full amount in one go.
Mostafa Mohamed returned to Zamalek after two loan periods at the beginning of last season.
The 24-year-old has scored two goals in two matches the team has fought so far in the league this season.
