Vangelis Maricanis, president of the Greek Olympiacos club and owner of English club Nottingham Forest, has announced that he has contracted the Corona virus.
“The virus visited me, and I felt compelled to announce it to people,” Maricanis wrote on his Instagram account.
He continued, “I feel that I am in good shape, taking all necessary measures, and following the doctors’ instructions.”
Then, I recommend, “I advise all my colleagues to do the same precautions, and wish everyone safe.”
It is noteworthy that the English government announced the exclusion of canceling any sporting events or staging them without fans in the near future due to concerns about the spread of Corona virus.
The English Premier League and the English Football Association discussed all possible scenarios for the current league season, due to concerns over the spread of the Coruna virus. And according to a report published by the British newspaper “Telegraph”.
The report said the two sides had agreed that in the worst case scenario, the league would be played without fans if the Coruna virus spread.
