FilGoal | News | Al-Badri explains: Why does Ramadan Sobhi continue in the Egyptian League

Hossam El-Badry, coach of the Egyptian national team, prefers Ramadan Sobhi, the Al-Ahly player, to continue in the Egyptian League.

Al-Badri said on the radio program “From Al-Akher”, saying: “I hope that Ramadan will settle down quickly because his presence in the stadium is important to me.”

He added, “I prefer it to continue in the Egyptian League to be before my eyes, and to follow it on the ground then will be better and easier.”

However, the coach added, “The player’s continuation in Egypt or his choice of European professionalism remains his decision, but he must settle it quickly.”

Ramadan Sobhi, 23, had returned to Huddersfield Town after his loan to Al-Ahly ended.

Mark Devilin, Sports Director of Huddersfield Town, spoke to FilGoal.com earlier about the player’s future and the existence of an offer of 5 million euros for him. (See details)

He pointed out in a related context, “The last period is all positive for the professionals. Mohamed Salah won the English Premier League, Trezeguet and Mohamedi remained with Aston Villa, Hegazy went up with West Bromwich, and Coca won with Olympiacos in the Greek League.”

“We wanted to celebrate them, but the recent circumstances, with the ban on travel trips, prevented that, and with the improvement of conditions, we will celebrate them,” he added.

Hossam Al-Badri completed his statements in another context, “God willing, Al-Ahly and Zamalek will meet in the Champions League final, and also Pyramids has a strong chance to win the Confederation Cup.”

Al-Ahly faces Moroccan Wydad in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals, while Zamalek will face Moroccan Raja at the end of next September.

Pyramids also face Guinean counterpart Horoya in the Confederation Semi-Final at the end of next month.
