What Florin Cîțu said in the motion of censure

Prime Minister Florin Cîțu claimed on Tuesday, June 29, in the motion of censure, that the government he leads is a successful one, bringing as an argument the fact that “food is cheap”, Romanians consume more and “are happier”. “Food is cheap, purchasing power is increasing, so is consumption. Romanians are happier. The National Institute of Statistics announced a significant increase in purchasing power. The average net earnings increased by 11.9% in April 2021, compared to the same period last year. But, even more important and very great attention – INS data showed a significant increase in purchasing power by 8.4% “, said Cîțu, also citing Eurostat data.
